It was a sad day to hear of Carol's passing. I have such fond memories of her! I remember her being involved in the YMCA Y Indian Maidens, Tri-Gr-Y programs. She was a great leader, lady, and mother! With a sly sense of humor and the art of dead-panning her responses, she kept us on our toes and in line! Yes, she and Priscilla Ferguson were known for their "There's a Hole in My Bucket" song/routine, but she was a devoted mother, spending many years in the Y programs, ensuring mother-daughter bonds. I was very fortunate to have gotten to know her, and her children, specifically her daughters, more specifically a life-long bond with Kathy. My mother, Gloria, used to tell me the story of the bathroom at their name being named "Gloria" when she had inquired about using the "John". I don't know why I was not present at that moment to see it unfold firsthand, but I can just see her saying it! I also remember the family having a dog, perhaps "Dutchess"? I recall Carol sitting down and the dog joining her. As she was petting her, the dog made some noises and Carol was quick to say something about Dutchess telling her all about her hard day and Dutchess did, indeed, tell all, moaning and woo-wooing, so cute!!! I know that Carol was a dedicated wife and mother, such a great sense of humor, and that she left an indelible impression on those who had the pleasure of spending time with her and a legacy with her children and family. To the family, I am sorry for your loss, which is Heaven's gain, and you will see her again, God's promise.
