Obituary for Douglas James Fielden

Douglas James Fielden
Douglas James Fielden, age 32, of Lancaster, California, beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, lost his life to an unfortunate accident while driving home from work on his motorcycle on the evening of Monday, November 14th, 2016.

Doug, as he was known to everyone, was born on April 4th, 1984 in Lancaster, California to proud parents James M. Fielden III and Carla J. Bubb. Doug grew up as the second of three children, in Littlerock, California, until 1998 when he moved to Paradise, California. Here, Doug attended Paradise High School and graduated with the Class of 2002. Doug then moved to San Luis Obispo, California, where he attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and graduated with the Class of 2008 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Doug then returned to Lancaster, California to work at Edwards Air Force Base. He worked at the Air Force Flight Test Center, 773rd Test Squadron, as an aircraft propulsion engineer on the Global Hawk and then on the F35 Program. Doug was two classes away from completing his masters program at the University of Southern California for Propulsion Engineering. Working in this field was extremely satisfying for Doug as he had a passion for planes and flying ever since he was a young boy. Doug had always dreamed of becoming a fighter pilot for the Navy. He did however, earn a private pilot license and enjoyed flying.

Doug enjoyed barbecuing, riding his quad, going 4-wheeling, hiking, snow and water skiing, and playing on his volleyball and bowling teams with his coworkers. Doug was a First Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, which he earned at the age of 14. Doug also enjoyed riding his street motorcycle, so much, that he was joining the Dynazty Riderz MC. But above all, Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Doug was a smart, quiet, kind and loving man who would help out anyone at anytime. He will be tremendously missed by all who knew him. Doug is survived by his grandmother, Lois A. Fielden, father Jim (Mary) Fielden, mother Carla (Jim) Bubb, sister Sandy (Jeremy) Simmons, nieces Ada and Elle Simmons, brother Jack Fielden, step-sister Christen (Morgan) Danford, nieces Ellis and June Danford, step-brother Ethan Carrick and many, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
