Obituary for Richard Milton Stairs

Richard . Stairs was born May 14, 1930 in Ithaca, New York. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and served in the Korean War. He then returned to New York and drove a truck. He then met his soul mate and loved of his life Roberta Mae Knapp. They spent 62 wonderful years together. They had 4 beautiful children together, Michael Stairs, Gary Stairs, Connie Heller and Wendy Durkee. 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

They moved to California in 1962 where he worked for Lockheed as a truck driver for 31 years and retired. He then spent the rest of his life traveling across the country in his RV with his soulmate. He was the most loving, caring husband and father anyone could wish for. He was a dedicated Christian man.

He passed away peacefully November 28, 2016. May God bless him and look over him as he joins his family and friends in heaven. Services will be held at Halley Olsen Murphy Funerals and Cremation in Lancaster, California.
