A man of greater stature, he always stood apart
And large as he was, none of him was bigger than his heart
We knew his generosity and humor was so Quick
I count myself as lucky that his daughter I would pick

The times we shared in hunting and in fishing I hold dear
And as a younger man I couldn't wait for them each year
But now the circumstances that we share have made me think
Its clear to me that time's to short, so toast to him and drink

I know that he is with our lord, his faith was always strong
I pray that I can make him proud in helping Mom along
I know that I can never hope to pay back all he's given
But I know I will do my best for him as long as I am living

So raise your glass and share this toast to celebrate his days
And grant to us the strength we need to find all of our ways
The man we knew has left us and walks now with our lord
The Angels came and gathered him and on their wings he soared
